Gregory Heald (born 26 September 1971) is an English retired professional footballer. The place of birth was the London Borough of Enfield, and was a defender for various teams within the Football League. He began his career at age 11 at Leyton O’North and was a member of the England Schoolboys before becoming a member of Norwich City as an apprentice in 1988. He was a part of their youth squad.

The 2000-01 season was the one that saw Barnet being relegated in the Football Conference. Heald was part of the team for 45 times during the season, scoring five times. In 2001-2002, Barnet placed 5th in their debut year back to the Conference, Heald featuring 44 times, scoring twice. Then, in the month of April 2002, Heald was picked to play in his place in the England non-league international team to face the Netherlands.

Heald was unable to secure a regular first team place at Orient, and in March 2004 he was released from his contract to join Rochdale. After a year at Spotland he briefly joined York City, then Burton Albion but soon moved on again to Ashton United in the Northern Premier League.

The beginning of the next season because of an ankle injury, and then an injury to the back making 19 appearances for the first team (2 goal goals), Heald returned to the team in the early part of 1999 when they played at home to Shrewsbury Town. The Bees ended up sixteenth overall in league, but returned to form the following season when they played in a play-off semi- final against his former side Peterborough United, but lost in the aggregate by 5-1. Heald played in 46 games and scored five times.
