Greg Briggs (born October 19 in 1968) was a former American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. He started his education at Copiah Lincoln Community College, before moving into the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Texas Southern University. Then he was a part of the Cleveland Browns, Frankfurt Galaxy and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

On the 15th of December 1993, he signed on his Cleveland Browns practice squad. He was released on July 21, 1994.

On July 20, 1995, he signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League, but didn’t make the team.

After being out of football for a year, he played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League of American Football in 1995, where he led his team in tackles and won World Bowl ’95.

Briggs was chosen to the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round (120th) of the 1992 NFL Draft, after impressing at the NFL Combine. He was a safetybefore moving on to playing linebacker. He was put on the physically unfit to play list the 25th of August after sustaining the injury of his hip on the right side. The team then won the Super Bowl XXVII. He was drafted in 1993. was moved to tight end and removed on the 24th of August.
