Grant Eric Bradburn (born 26 May 1966 in Hamilton, New Zealand) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former player. He is currently the fielding coach for Pakistan’s national cricket team. On April 14, 2014 Bradburn became Scotland’s head coach. The first task he was given was to prepare the team for the 2015 World Cup.
Bradburn’s appointment is until the end of 2017 and takes in the next Intercontinental Cup which will give one Associate nation a shot at playing Test cricket as well as the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 in India.
In September 2018, Bradburn was named as Pakistan’s new fielding coach for 3 years ahead of 2018 Asia cup.
In his retirement, he operated a sports store for the family, and also coached Northern Districts A. In the event that Andy Moles was appointed the New Zealand coach in 2008, Bradburn filled the spot vacant by Moles in the role of Northern Districts coach for the remainder of the year. A right-handed, tall off-spin bowler and batsman of lower order, Bradburn played seven Test matches as well as eleven One-Day Internationals between 1990 between 1990 and 2001. Bradburn also played in the domestic league for Northern Districts for 16 seasons.
His international career was a bit stale when he was omitted from the New Zealand side after the 1992/93 series in Sri Lanka, but he was brought back in the 2000/01 season at 35, but with no great results. He played seven Test matches as well as 11 One-Day internationals. He concluded his career with the highest number of appearances with Northern Districts with 115 matches and 4614 runs for the rate of 27.96.
After retiring from playing, Bradburn coached Northern Districts and the New Zealand Under-19s. In April 2014, he was appointed head coach of Scotland.
