On the 7th of January, 2009, he was sent for a loan with Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot. In all, he played 19 times and scored a strike for Clermont.
After his former France U21 teammate Blaise Matuidi signed for Paris Saint- Germain, Ngoyi went on loan to Ligue 2 side Nantes for the 2011–12 season. He revealed after the signing of Matuidi, that he joined Nantes as he wanted to be playing regular football at this stage of his career rather than being a back-up player at Paris Saint-Germain. In total, he played 20 games scoring 1 goal for Nantes.
On 28 June 2012, he signed a three-year contract with Troyes AC, newly promoted to Ligue 1, on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. He was unable to keep Troyes AC in Ligue 1 with them finishing 19th during the 2012–13 season. In total he played 31 games for Troyes scoring 1 goal.
After impressing during his loan, the player returned to Paris Saint-Germain for the 2009-10 season, in which he appeared more frequently, appearing for 16 times in Paris Saint-Germain Ligue 1 games and also making 4 performances in Cup games. Again, Ngoyi was typically utilized as a backup for Claude Makelele and Jeremy Clement.

N’Goyi is the son of DR Congolese parents in Melun which is a suburb in Melun, a suburb of the French capital Paris. He started his career in the youth squad of the his club, capital Paris Saint-Germain. The year 2007 saw him made the transition to the first team at Paris Saint-Germain, where he played seven times in the first team during Ligue 1 for the club and was mainly in the back of Claude Makelele and Jeremy Clement in the defensive midfielder position.
In October 2008, N’Goyi was selected for the role of representing DR Congo, along with Paris Saint-Germain team mates Larrys Mabiala and Youssouf Mulumbu, for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the country’s rivals Malawi. N’Goyi accepted the call-up but was not able to get his chance to make his debut because his team was lost 2-1 to Malawi after taking an early lead of 1-0 by ex- Portsmouth as well as Newcastle United striker Lomana LuaLua.
He spent the 2010–11 season on loan at Brest playing 25 games.
