Graham Ford is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on November 16, 1960 in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Graham Xavier Ford (born 16 November 1960 from Natal) was a South African cricket coach and former cricketer.

Ford was appointed Director of Cricket at Kent in 2005. In 2006, he came back South Africa to coach the Dolphins but resigned that same year due to personal reasons.

It was announced on 31 July 2009 that he would not be returning to Kent for the 2010 season, again citing personal reasons.

In January 2012, he was appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lanka national team, replacing Geoff Marsh.

Ford has coached his South Africa A team in 1998 on an international tour of Sri Lanka and the following year, he was named assistant coach for South Africa. As an assistant for Bob Woolmer he coached South Africa during the 1999 World Cup where they reached the semi-finals, but were removed by Australia. After the tournament, he was replaced by Woolmer as the coach and led South Africa to victory in eight of the 11 matches they played, but after suffering two consecutive defeats against Australia He was fired in June 2002.

Formerly, the chief coach for The Sri Lankan national cricket team and currently, he is director of Ireland teams cricket. As a right-handed batsman, he played in seven games in the team of Natal B in his career despite not playing in his final game seven years following his debut game in the 1982-83 season. Ford was an excellent all-rounder sportsman and was an ex-provincial tennis champion and also representing Natal in football. Ford has also been a certified referee in the union of rugby.

On 9 June 2007 he was offered the position of coach of the Indian cricket team, but two days later he declined the offer, citing “it was the right decision for me and my family”.
