Glynn Snodin (born 14 February 1960) is a English football coach. She is currently the assistant manager of Chesterfield and a former professional player.
Then he was in loan with Oldham Athletic and Rotherham United prior to moving going to Scotland for Joe Jordan’s Hearts in the month of March 1992. While at Tynecastle the club, he scored one goal during the UEFA Cup against Slavia Prague and gave Hearts an impressive 4-2 win that was followed by a 4-3 win in an aggregate. After Jordan quit Tynecastle, Snodin returned South to join Barnsley in July 1993. playing an additional two years in Barnsley’s First Division, before a transfer into Gainsborough Trinity, where he played out his final seasons with the club before ending his career in summer 1997.
In 2000, he joined the coaching staff at Charlton Athletic as reserve team manager, leading them to the Reserve League title in 2004 and 2005. He completed his UEFA Pro Licence alongside George Burley and in March 2006, Burley brought Snodin to Southampton as first team coach.
In a press conference on 1 June 2007, to reveal Nigel Worthington as the new manager of Northern Ireland, Snodin was made assistant manager and Fred Barber was announced as coach. On 26 June 2007, he joined his former Charlton Athletic colleague Alan Curbishley at West Ham United. When Curbishley left in September 2008 and Gianfranco Zola was appointed in his place, Snodin was not retained on the coaching staff.
In June 1985, he was sold at a price of 135,000 pounds to First Division Sheffield Wednesday, which he played for during two seasons and played 59 league games. He also made it to the FA Cup semi-final in 1986 and then an opportunity to move down a division and to Leeds United (for a fee of £150,000) because of the desire to join the former manager Billy Bremner from his Doncaster days. He made his debut with Doncaster Rovers as a 16-year-old in 1977. He remained at Doncaster Rovers until the end of June in 1985 when they were promoted and down between Divisions 4 and 3. In Doncaster there were more than 300 appearances, most of them with Ian, his younger brother. Ian.

Snodin initially began coaching youngsters whilst playing at Gainsborough Trinity as he ran the “Glynn Snodin Soccer Academy” at Gainsborough Leisure Centre on Saturday mornings between 1995 and 1997. He then became chief scout at Carlisle United under Mick Wadsworth while he took his coaching badges. He followed Wadsworth to Scarborough as youth team coach, before returning to his first club, Doncaster Rovers as assistant manager to his brother Ian.
