Minichiello as well as Cooke were awarded the gold medal in the event for two women in the FIBT World Championships 2009 in Lake Placid, New York. They finished seventh in this same competition which took place in St Moritz in 2010, despite having some issues with Cooke’s racing suit prototype that split in the seatjust minutes before she began her bobsleigh race. In in the 2010 Winter Olympics, they crashed out during the third race of the two-woman race and were unable to begin the final race because of it.
