Dmitri Dell Young (born on October 11th in 1973) is a American ex- professional baseball player. He played the entirety or a portion of 13 seasons with Major League Baseball (MLB) as a left fielder first baseman and designated hitter playing for St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers as well as the Washington Nationals from 1996 through the year 2008. He was two-time All-Star and was awarded the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award. The younger brother of his, Delmon Young, also played in MLB.

Following the 2001 season, his contract was sold to the Reds to the Detroit Tigers for Luis Pineda and Juan Encarnacion. In 2003 the year he was averaging .297 and had 29 home runs and seven three-runs (10th for the season). The Tigers only representative to the 2003 MLB All-Star Game, although the Tigers did not make an appearance at the plate or even in the batter’s box.
