Gideon Baah is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 1, 1991 in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Gideon Baah (born 1 October 1991) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as a defensive player with Shakhter Karagandy.

Baah began his stint with FC Honka in a form of contract with Asante Kotoko FC of the Ghanaian Premier League. On 13 March 2013, Baah made his Veikkausliiga debut with the 2-0 defeat away to the ‘Turun’ Palloseura. On the 22nd of March, he made his home debut at Tapiolan Urheilupuisto against his local opponents HJK Helsinki. Baah scored the winner on 25 March in 2013’s 1-0 win against FC KooTeePee in the Suomen Cup to help his team through an earlier round. Baah was selected to be part of the Veikkausliiga squad of the month for April as well as May, June, and July. On the 3rd of June 2013, Baah was honored for his performance during the first round of Veikkausliiga when he was named by the SuomiFutis site as being among the top five most effective players. Baah scored his first Veikkausliiga goal on the 30th of June 2013 in a match against FF Jaro where he scored the goal that opened the scoring in the 4-2 win. Baah was able to make the Europa League debut on 18 July 2013 during the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League second qualifying round in which they fell 1-3 in the first leg against 2012-13 Ekstraklasa runners-up Lech Poznan. On July 24, 2013 Baah agreed to sign a contract for two years for two years with FC Honka. The end of 2013’s Veikkausliiga season the player was selected as the league’s best defensive player of the year and rookie of the year.

In October 2015, Baah received his first senior call up to the Ghana national team. He made his debut for Ghana in a 13 October friendly against Canada, coming into the match as a substitute in the 87th minute.

On 9 February 2016, it was announced that Baah had signed for American Major League Soccer side, New York Red Bulls. To replace defender Matt Miazga who had recently been transferred to Chelsea F.C.. Baah made his first appearance with the club in 2-0 defeat against Toronto FC on 6 March. Upon recovering from a Week 3 hamstring injury that sidelined him for 6 weeks; Baah was loaned to affiliate club New York Red Bulls II on 1 May. The same day, Baah played 45 minutes for the affiliate side in a 2-0 defeat against Charlotte Independence. He scored his first goal with the club on May 21, 2016 in a 7-0 win over NYCFC. Baah suffered a broken leg in a July match against Portland Timbers, sidelining him for the remainder of 2016.

In March of this year, Baah sustained a broken shin during the Premier League match against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium. The surgery was performed in the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi. In November of 2010 Gideon travelled to Scotland to seek help with his recovery through Hearts of Midlothian. On November 28, the year 2011, Gideon was back with Asante Kotoko. On November 30 the player was in action for the first time since returning from a long absence from injury Asante Kotoko Reserves. On the 21st of April, 2012 Baah was in action for his debut league game in a match against Mighty Jets helping Asante Kotoko to a 2-0 win and scoring the winning goal. As a player with Kotoko, Baah captured two Ghana Premier League titles and one Super Cup.
