In 2006, Wheatcroft return to playing alongside Kelley Law, as her third. In 2007 the team made it again to the nation’s championships which is now known as”the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, after winning the B.C. Provincial Championship. In the Scotties they came out with a score of 5-6.
In 2004 Wheatcroft was the only player on her team to not go in her first appearance at the Scott Tournament of Hearts, however her new team came in at 4-7. She tried to qualify next year but was unsuccessful during the British Columbia playdowns. In 2005 she was picked up by the Hearts winner Jennifer Jones to replace Cathy Gauthier She then moved in Winnipeg, Manitoba to play alongside the team. The new group, Wheatcroft took part in this year’s Olympic trials. The team ended up with a 5-4 mark. Wheatcroft was able to participate at the Scott Tournament of Hearts because Jones had won the tournament in the previous year and was able to play in the finals as Team Canada. The team was defeated in the final against Kelly Scott of British Columbia.

Wheatcroft was a participant in the Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women’s national championship debut in 1987, as an alternate in the race for Pat Sanders. The previous time she played was as a skip in the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in 1985 with British Columbia. Sanders, Wheatcroft, and their British Columbia team won the 1987 Scott Tournament of Hearts, beating Kathie Ellwood at the end of the competition. In the World Championships that year, the team took home the gold medal, beating the German’s Andrea Schopp in the final. In 1988, Wheatcroft was second in the team of Sanders in Sanders’s Tournament of Hearts and they were defeated in the final by Heather Houston. in 1989 Wheatcroft changed to Julie Sutton’s team , and once again qualified to play in The Tournament of Hearts, where they lost in their first playoff match. Wheatcroft did not return in the Hearts until the year 2000.
As of 2000, Wheatcroft took on the role of second rower for Kelley Law’s hockey team. Alongside Law, Wheatcroft won that year’s Scott Tournament of Hearts and World Curling Championships. The team finished runners-up in the year’s Scott Tournament of Hearts, which they lost against Colleen Jones. The following year, the team was selected to participate in at the 2002 Winter Olympics as Team Canada. The team beat Team United States to win the bronze medal.
In 2008, she once again skipped her own team and qualified for the 2009 British Columbia Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
