George Uko (born February 12 1992) is a gridiron football defensive lineman who is in the process of becoming a free agent. He was awarded an Super Bowl ring as a part of the Denver Broncos in their Super Bowl 50 win against the Carolina Panthers. He was also an active member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, BC Lions and the Ottawa Redblacks.
Uko joined his team the Ottawa Redblacks (CFL) in April of 2018 to prepare to start the new CFL season. He had not been playing in the 2017 season. He was part of 10 games for the Redblacks during his first season at the club, and contributed to 19 tackles as well as three quarterback sacks. The Redblacks released him on March 2nd 2020.
Uko was signed by with the Denver Broncos as a part of the practice team. On February 7 the 7th of February, 2016 Uko made up the Broncos team which took home Super Bowl 50 to conclude the 2015 NFL season. In the game Broncos Broncos beat their opponents, the Carolina Panthers by a score of 24-10. Uko was released to the Broncos on April 14, 2016.
