George Brown is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 19, 1935 in Ealing, United States. George M. Brown (born 1959) was a former Ottawa City Councillor. He was a member of the Riverside Ward from 1985 to 1994.
After his time in municipal politics, Brown joined the Ontario Green Party and ran for the seat in Ottawa South in the 1999 provincial election. He won just two percent of the votes. In 2007 he was a candidate in an election for the Conservative Party of Canada nomination in Ottawa South, losing to Elie Salibi.
He ran for the New Democratic Party in Ottawa South in the 2015 Canadian federal election.
He was elected again during the municipal election of 1991. In this time, he was chairman of the regional committee on environmental services and chair of the taskforce on housing of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Brown was elected first in the municipal election of 1985 in which he defeated three other candidates by an overwhelming 45% votes. Before he was elected, Brown was a child-care worker. When he ran for office in the first place in the campaign, he described him as an apologist, who was able to combine a dislike for bureaucracy as well as “big government” with strong support for community-based services like non-profit organisations, child care services and cooperatives. At the beginning of his council term, he was on a committee that sought to save the city’s bookmobile service when the service was threatened due to cuts to funding and also pushed for the motion that sought to require city council members’ title officially change to “alderman” to “councillor”. He also supported a controversial $5,000 grant for Gays of Ottawa, the city’s principal group for LGBT individuals, on the argument that denial of the grant due to the LGBT group’s sexuality is discriminatory.
He was easily elected again during the 1988 municipal elections and won 85 percent of the vote , beating his only opponent. In his second term, he was able to convince his council colleagues to establish the ban on gun and weapon shows that took place on city property. He was elected the chair of the city’s economic affairs committee and also was a member of the committee on environmental services that is part of the Regional Municipality of Ottawa- Carleton.
Brown became a lawyer in 2003. He served as president of the Ottawa Community Loan Fund, and is a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa’s law school. As a lawyer, he specializes in immigration and community development. He currently lives in the Mooney’s Bay area of the city. He has a Master of Science degree in community economic development from New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University) and an LL.B. degree from the University of Ottawa Law School.
