Gary John Poole (born 11 September 1967) is a English professional footballer who played right-back. He played more than 250 matches within the Football League, and a additional 76 in the Conference.

Poole was born in Stratford, London. He played in the juniors with Tottenham Hotspur and was given an official contract, however he was not a part of the first team, and was let go after two years. He joined Fourth Division club Cambridge United but after just 18 months was transferred for $3000 to Conference club Barnet which was managed by Barry Fry. In his first season as a full-time player, Barnet were elevated by winning the title to Division Four, and reached the play-offs during 1991-92.
