Gala composed and wrote two original songs with the Brooklyn-based singer and songwriter Jesse Ruben and Kyle Patrick, ” Happiest Day of My Life” mixed by Miles Walker and “Nameless Love” with co-production and mixing by Andros Rodrigues, in the film Favola (Fairytale). The film is a surrealist comedic tale about gender identity and the freedom of social pressures in the 1950s America it was directed and written by Sebastiano Mauri and featured Filippo Timi and Lucia Mascino. The costumes were part of a collaboration with Fabio Zambernardi, the director of design for Miu Miu and Prada. It premiered in the 2017 Torino Film Festival, Favola was featured at the legendary 45th anniversary Flaiano Film Festival in Pescara in June. It received the Flaiano Award for the best “Opera Prima” The movie soundtrack was released in June of 2018. Gala’s independent label, Matriarchy Records is releasing the original tracks “Happiest Day of My Life” and ” Nameless Love” as individual singles on September 15th.

The year 1996 was the time that Gala won the title of Best Female singer of the year by Italy by the Italian magazine Musica e Dischi. In July 1997, she received an Italian Dance Award as the best pop-dance performer for the entire year. Gala has been awarded the Diamond recording prize in France as well as she also had a Platinum record within Benelux and an Gold record within the United Kingdom. The the same year, she was nominated for most dancer in the Mobo Awards in the UK along with The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and Orbital.
