Masucci scored 4 goals during the 2008-09 season in Serie B. He played 23 games in that season. In the following season, Masucci started 18 times in the formation 4-3-3. In the promotion playoffs , the forwards were Quadrini Martinetti – Martinetti and Noselli (Zampagna) using a the 4-3-3 formation. Trainer Stefano Pioli also used 4-3-1-2 formation, when Masucci was unavailable during the the entire month of October. Masucci signed a two-year contract in September of this year. In the first half of 2010-11, with Sassuolo in the beginning of the 2010-11 season Serie B, coach Daniele Arrigoni and Angelo Gregucci and stick with 4-3-3. However, Masucci was sacked as a starter at the beginning of November.

On 3 July 2014 Masucci was signed by Serie B club Frosinone Calcio in a 2-year contract.

Masucci was the starting forward in promotion playoffs in 2005 (partnering Andreini; substituted by Gilioli in the return leg), 2006, 2007 (in 4-3-3 formation: Erpen-Selva-Masucci). In 2008, Sassuolo placed first in Division A in 2007/08 Serie C1 and won the 2008 Supercoppa di Lega di Prima Divisione to become the champion in the 3rd division. However Masucci did not play. Masucci scored nine goals during the 2007-08 season. Since Masucci occasionally was wearing no.7 prior to when the team was given fixed numbers in the year 2008 (but also was wearing no.11), Masucci sometimes mistakenly called himself a midfielder because the lineup in the media usually listed players alphabetically (from one to eleven) or in order of the position (from defender, keeper or midfielder, and forward). Masucci also wore the no.7 shirt as the team was assigned an fix number for Serie B.

In Avellino, Campania, Masucci began his football career with the northern team Torino Calcio. In the 2001-02 season, it was his turn to play for the Berretti’s under-20 reserve team and the B team for the under-20 category (usually either the U19 or U18 teams). In the 2003-04 season, Masucci was a player with the Primavera the under-20 reserve squad. Masucci also was a part of Berretti during the playoffs that season.

After half season with 11 starts, Masucci left for fellow Serie B club Frosinone on 28 January 2011, along with Gianluigi Bianco. On the same day Antonio Bocchetti also joined Sassuolo in temporary deal but later as a replacement of Mauro Minelli who left for Frosinone on 31 January.. Masucci chose no.7 again with Frosinone. In his 5 months stay, he made 17 starts as first as a wing forward 4–3–3 formation. Since round 37, coach Salvatore Campilongo changed back to original 4–4–2 formation and Masucci usually was the right midfielder of the team Frosinone relegated at the end of season.
