His drawings of notable structures within Montreal’s Griffintown district were displayed on the Centre d’Histoire de Montreal between September 2015 and August 2016. MacLeod produced his debut documentary, After the War with Hannelore The Berlin War Child’s Testimony , from 1945 until 1989, in 2009. The documentary ran for 22 minutes and had numerous high-profile screenings, such as at Les Rendez-vous du Cinema quebecois as well as Berlin’s Arnsenal 2 Institut für Film and Videokunst. MacLeod has since made three short films in The Water of Life animated film series, a series of four parts collaboration on Canadian culture alongside Irish storytelling master Mike Burns. MacLeod has also been a songwriter, singer as well as a recording artist. Since 1990, MacLeod has released three full-length albums as well as three EPs, and a number of singles. He also wrote and performed the soundtrack of nine songs for his debut feature film.
