Fu-Te Ni is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on November 14, 1982 in Pingtung County, Taiwan. Fu-Te Ni (born 14 November 1982) is an Taiwanese professional baseball player who plays for the Fubon Guardians of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. Ni was an experienced professional baseball player in the Taiwanese Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). After his team named Chinatrust Whales, Chinatrust Whales, disbanded on November 11, 2008, Ni agreed to sign a minor league agreement for Detroit Tigers in 2009. Ni became an independent player for the Detroit Tigers on January 13 the 13th of January, 2009. Ni is assigned to Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens of the International League. In 24 games for the Mud Hens, Ni went three-for-three in the league with 2.60 ERA, and 32 strikeouts. Ni was summoned up on the 28th of June 2009 to replace hurt Nate Robertson. Ni was the 6th Taiwanese player to make it into Major League Baseball, and the fourth pitcher. Ni made his debut in the Major Leagues on 29 June 2009, against the Oakland Athletics, allowing one run over 1.2 innings and striking out three. One of the first batters from Major League Baseball that he confronted is slugger Jason Giambi, and Ni hit Giambi out. Ni pitched in 36 games for his team the Tigers in 2009, and posted zero losses or wins with an 2.61 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
