He played in the NCAA football tournament during his time at Wake Forest.
Robbins was also selected among his fellow teammates be the captain of the defense in the year 2008. He played in every single game of the regular season where he participated and scored 36 tackles (24 in a single game), 5.5 sacks and 3 passes that he was able to defend. Robbins was selected in 2nd round in the 2000 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He signed the four-year $5.5 million contract for the Vikings. He was a part-time player in 16 regular season games with 15 starts. He was the starter in all four postseason games . He finished having 42 tackles (21 by himself), 5.5 sacks, 26 QB hurries 10 QB hits and one pass defensively.
Robbins signed a three-year $11.3 million contract with the St. Louis Rams. The deal included a roster bonus of $3.4 million. He was released following the 2011 season on March 12, 2012.
