This recording won the ECHO Klassik prize in 2009. He recorded many pieces by Robert Schumann, with the orchestra named for him and included all symphonies as well as the rare Zwickauer Sinfonie [de] , and the entire works for orchestra and violin, with the soloist Ulf Wallin. He gave a CD to the works that was done by Hermann Hans Wetzler [de] and recorded complete recordings of symphonies composed by Emil von Reznicek by the third and fourth.
