On the 12th of July, 2014 Fragapane relocated overseas at first in his life. signing with Spanish Segunda Division B team Elche CF Ilicitano on loan with a buyout provision. On December 6, Fragapane made his debut in the main squad, taking over Coro in the 2 -0 La Liga home loss against Atletico Madrid.
Fragapane was a regular player for the reserve team during the subsequent seasons. He was made the Primera Division debut on 8 December 2013, also on the bench, in a 1-1 draw at home with Gimnasia La Plata.
