Francesco Benussi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 15, 1981 in Mestre, Veneto, Italy. Francesco Benussi (born 15 October 1981) is a retired Italian footballer who was goalkeeper.

He returned to Lecce for a second Serie B season, his initial choice of place was contested from Antonio Rosati but Benussi played 23 Serie B games and all four promotion playoffs to be promoted to the Apulia club in June of 2008.

On 12 August 2009 Livorno have signed the goalkeeper on loan from U.S. Lecce. He played as an unused substitute on 9 August, in the Coppa Italia match that Lecce won 4–0 over Vico Equense.

On 1 February 2010 Benussi agreed for a loan transfer to Palermo, with Rubinho making the opposite move, reunited with former Venezia owner Maurizio Zamparini. After Palermo signed Giacomo Brichetto permanently, Benussi also signed permanently from Lecce a week later, on 22 July 2010. He signed a 3-year contract.

Following the Venezia bankruptcy and the relegation, Benussi was signed by Lecce initially as an assistant for Vincenzo Sicignano in August 2005. However, due to injuries of Sicignano, he was unable to play fifteen Serie A games. Lecce did not secure her spot as a player in Serie A, and saw Sicignano leave the club. Benussi was the first choice when the 2004-05 season. He then went for loan with A.C. Siena as player exchange partner with Nicola Pavarini. At Siena Benussi, he was unable to compete with Alex Manninger for the first selection Benussi was not the first choice, and Siena hasn’t decided to purchase Benussi in full.
