Forest Sun released his first children’s album, called Just for Fun (2010), which included original songs as well as Americana classics, such as “You Are My Sunshine,” and “Polly Wolly Doodle”. The songs featured members from the Marley’s Ghost along with Ingrid Serban. It was in the year 2012 that Forest Sun released Just Begun. The album included Tucsonian musicians like Winston Watson, drummer for Bob Dylan and Lenny Kravitz, Jacob Valenzuela, trumpet player for Calexico The album it was recorded by the band in Tucson, Arizona, at the Wavelab Studio.

In 2008, in the wake of his mother’s cancer battle, Forest Sun began a benefit initiative to aid those suffering from cancer and their families. He organized benefit shows at Santa Fe, New Mexico and eventually resulting in the production of compilation albums titled Songs For Laura. These albums brought together more than forty artists , including Sean Hayes, Animal Liberation Orchestra, Brett Dennen, Matt the Electrician, Tom Freund, Danny Schmidt, Anais Mitchell, The Mammals and Devon Sproule. So nice as well as Harlequin Goodnight, which featured songs by ALO along with Sean Hayes, were issued in the year 2008. The subsequent season, Forest Sun added the musical collaboration with Ingrid Serban and the two began to tour as two musicians.

The year 1999 was the time that Forest Sun created the independent record label Painted Sun Records, and released his debut album Not Afraid. In the following year, he released Plenty in San Francisco, California. AllMusic stated it as “in these ten small gems, Sun offers the Muse the gift of his voice to write and sing though. As an actor Forest has appeared in the film “Who’s there?” (directed by Cassie Jaye and premiering at the Tall Grass Film Festival) Forest played a fireman and his song “Long Day” is in the soundtrack during the closing credits. “All Sales Final” Directed by Ingrid Serban won “Best Short Film made on a Smart Device” at the Albuquerque Film and Music Festival.“Elusory” directed by Scott Steiner premiered at the Amazon Underground Film Festival in Brazil. Forest composed the soundtrack to the upcoming feature documentary “Free Trip To Egypt”.
