Peile Florentin Pogba (born 19 August 1990) is a Guinean professional footballer, who plays as a defensive player at Ligue 2 club FC Sochaux- Montbeliard as well as for the Guinea national team.

The day before the end of the transfer window for summer 2012 Pogba was sold from Sedan to AS Saint-Etienne for a fee of EUR500,000. He was immediately loaned the club back Sedan for the rest in the season 2012-13. After his return back to Saint-Etienne at the end of 2013, He was initially struggling to get into the squad during his first season at the club. His first strike for the team came on the third December, scoring the 2-0 victory over Montpellier HSC. In the ensuing time Pogba had already certainly earned his place as the primary center-back of the team replacing long-time Saint-Etienne defenseman Loic Perrin. Pogba suffered a major injury while traveling internationally with Guinea. There was initial speculation that he’d miss the remainder of the season, however Pogba was able to return with a win against Nice on the 37th week of matches during the regular season.

Pogba played the full 90 minutes of their first group match, a 1–1 draw against Ivory Coast, and started the second match against Cameroon, before being substituted just before half-time with a thigh injury. He did not feature again for Guinea as they lost in the quarter-finals to Ghana.

A year after, Pogba accepted a call-up to join the France under-20 team at the 2011 Toulon Tournament. Pogba was permitted to play due to FIFA’s regulations that permit players with dual nationalities to change their country of origin if they’ve not yet played in a match for a particular country, something was not the case with Guinea. France reached the final, but they lost out to Colombia’s Colombia under-20s 3-1 in penalties. Pogba was among three French players who missed their penalty.

Pogba received his first chance to be part of the Guinea team through Michel Dussuyer ahead of a friendly game against Mali on the 11th of August, 2010. The Guinean made his debut during the second half of the match, helping his team win 2-0. victory.

On 24 March 2013, Pogba pledged his international future to Guinea, and he played his first competitive game for them in a 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Mozambique. After struggling to play regular club football in the 2013–14 season, he also struggled to get into the Guinea team. However, after forcing his way into the Saint-Étienne side during the following season, he was able to return to his place in the Guinea team.
