Florence Hartmann is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on February 17, 1963 in France. Florence Hartmann (born 17 February 1963) is a French journalist and writer. In the 1990s, she worked as a correspondent for the Balkans for the French newspaper Le Monde. In 1999, she released her debut book, Milosevic the diagonale of the fou (Milosevic is the antithesis of insane) which was republished in 2002 by Gallimard at the end of 2002. From October 2000 through October 2006, she was the an official spokesperson and Balkan advisor for Carla Del Ponte, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague.

She was found guilty on the reasons of not complying with two appellate rulings dated the 20th of September, 2005 as well as 6th April 2006. within the Slobodan Milosevic trial before the ICTY.

The issue at trial was whether the information she disclosed – “the existence and the purported effect” of the two impugned confidential decisions of the ICTY Appeals Chamber’s dated 20 September 2005 and 6 April 2006 – was confidential or whether only the key evidence Serbia sought to censor was protected by a Court order.
