Fiona Jane Hyslop (born 1 August 1964) is a Scottish politician, who has been the Minister of Culture, Tourism and External Affairs and also the Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Linlithgow constituency since 2011 representing in the Lothians Region from 1999 to the year 2011.

The SNP formed an unpopular minority government following the election of 2007, including Alex Salmond as First Minister. Salmond named Hyslop as cabinet secretary for Education as well as Lifelong Learning, a portfolio she previously worked in shadow. Then, in December of 2009 while faced with the motion to withdraw her confidence Hyslop was removed from the cabinet post to the position of junior Minister. the Minister of Culture as well as External Affairs.

Following the SNP victory in the 2011 Scottish Parliament election, she was promoted back into Cabinet as Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs. She has remained in post since.

Hyslop was a candidate for elections into the Scottish Parliament in the 1999 Parliamentary Election as third on the list of the SNP in the Lothians Region, and was elected as an SNP additional member. In both the elections in 2003 and 2007 she was a candidate for the constituency of Linlithgow. Even though she did not be elected to the constituency in both instances however, she was elected again from the list of regional candidates.

Hyslop was a member of her membership in the SNP in 1986. In the years 1986 to 1999, she was employed by The Standard Life Assurance Company.

In the 2011 election, she stood again in the Linlithgow constituency, defeating three-term incumbent Mary Mulligan of the Scottish Labour Party by 4,091 votes. She was re-elected in 2016, beating the Labour candidate by 9,335 votes.
