Filippo Iannone (born 13 December 1957) is a prelate in the Catholic Church who has served as president of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts since April of 2018. He is a bishop since 2001.

On the 12th of April, 2001 Iannone became an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Naples and the titular the bishop for Nebbi of Algeria through Pope John Paul II. He was ordained to the episcopate on the 26th of May, 2001 by Cardinal Michele Giordano. At the date of his appointment He was his most youthful Italian bishop. In the course of the restructuring of the Archdiocese of Naples under the direction of Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe He was appointed as Vicar General and was responsible for co-ordination along with clergy as well as moderator curiae) (lit. “Court moderators”) in issues of Church administration.

As of December 2015, he is a member of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, a consultant to the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, a member of the Council for Legal Affairs of the Italian Episcopal Conference, and president of the Education and Culture Committee of the Lazio episcopal region.

Following being ordained, he served as the region’s Treasury Commissioner (economo commissariale) from 1985 until 1988; and in the national government from 1988 to 1991. from 1988 until 1994 he served as President of the Commission for the Revision of the Constitution. In the Archdiocese of Naples he held the post as Defender of Faith at the Regional Court, from 1987 to 1990, and Judicial vicar in Trubinal, the Naples Diocese Trubinal from 1990 until 1994, episcopal vicar of the IVth parish from 1994 until 1996 and provicario generale between 1996 until 2001.
