Femi Seun Ogunode (born 15 May 1991 in Ondo City) is a Nigerian sprinter who is a world-class athlete for Qatar. His personal record of 9.91 at 100 meters in 2015 is currently the co- holder for the Asian 100m record. It was set with the Chinese’s Su Bingtian in 2018. In 2012, he was subjected to a ban from competing for two years following an positive test for doping.
Ogunode was banned for two years which ran through January 2014 due to the use of the banned substance Clenbuterol. In September 2014, he won the 100-meter race during the Asian Games setting a new Asian record of 9.93 seconds. He also took the 200 m gold medal at Incheon. He set another Asian record during the 2015 Asian Athletics Championships by winning the 100-meter race in 9.91 seconds. He had already broken the record for championships by running 9.97 seconds at the quarter-finals.
Ogunode was the first international athlete to represent Qatar during the 2010 Asian Games and won the 200m/400m double. In the following year, he took home Asian as well as Arab titles in the 200-meter distance and also 100m/200m speed titles during the 2011 Military World Games. He finished in the top three of the 400-meter race at the 2010 World Championships in Athletics, but was suspended for two years between January 2012 and 2014 due to a positive drugs test.

As a player in Nigeria, Ogunode ran for University of Ibadan and qualified for the 2007 All-Africa Games and the 2008 Summer Olympics. However his team at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria left Ogunode off the final rosters for both events due to unspecified reasons. After these minor blunders, Ogunode accepted an offer to represent the country internationally in Qatar.
He relocated to Qatar in October of 2009 and started international competition in the year following. He took home the 100 meters and 200 meters in the West Asian Championships and was included in the 2010 Asian Games. In the Games in Guangzhou He won two gold medals, taking over 200 meters and 400 meters with personal records in the range of 20.43 seconds , and 45.12 seconds respectively. He was the only third athlete from Games history to win both events in the same event – Milkha Singh first achieved this in the 1958 Asian Games.
He won his second career double at the Asian Games in 2014, this time in the 100 m/200 m, and set an Asian record of 9.93 seconds for the former event (the second Asian man to break the 10-second barrier after fellow Qatari-Nigerian Samuel Francis). He also won bronze medals at a global level that year at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships and 2014 IAAF Continental Cup.
