Farshid Karimi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 10, 1976 in Lahijan, Gilan Province, Iran. Farshid Karimi (Persian: frshyd Krymy, born on May 10 1996) was a former Iranian goalkeeper in football. He is the elder brother to Ali Karimi.
In the summer of 2013 the player signed a contract for two years with Aluminium that was then relegated from Iran Pro League to Division 1 in the previous season.
He began his career at Persepolis in the year 2000 when the club was in need of goalkeepers, and he was first introduced into 2007-08 Ali Parvin by Sadegh Doroudgar to test with the club. He was signed by Persepolis and played for eight seasons with the club. Persepolis was the first choice goalkeeper in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. He also was among the top players of the team during the season 2005/06 of Hazfi Cup. In the 2007-08 season the benchwarmer was replaced by Hassan Roudbarian and Mehdi Vaezi and was only in one match that was his final performance for Persepolis. In the game of Feb 10, 2008, against Aboumoslem the team erred and conceded 3 goals during the first period and was booed by fans in the half-time the reporter asked him IRIB Reporter about his performance. “I have nothing to say” He replied. Persepolis made a goal in the 2nd half , resulting in 3-3 draw.

He was later fined around $2000 from his contract for “his insolence to Chairman Abedini” and was allowed to return to training after a deal to the Club.
He joined Rah Ahan in 2009. he played one season alongside Masoud Homami. He Remained in the next season with the club. Othe Goalies were Hassan Roudbarian and Saleh Khalil Azad. He Rejected a Transfer to Steel Azin in December 2010. He was released by the club on 1 July 2013.
