Crestani will not be returning to the race in the 2008 season, but instead joined his own Euroseries 3000 championship for GP Racing. After karting for a while, in 2003, Crestani was promoted to Formula Junior 1600 Italia championship which he won in fourth place in the championship. He drove with PSR Motorsport. Crestani won one race and was a distant third in the fourth position, just behind Pasquale Di Sabatino Mihai Marinescu as well as Jaime Alguersuari in the championship. A third win would follow later in the year at Vallelunga, but Crestani could not improve on his championship position from 2006 by again finishing fifth, 41 points behind champion Paolo Maria Nocera.
