Silberberg participated at the top of the draw of the two ATP Tour tournaments, the Brasilia Open and Sao Paulo Open in the year 1991. He suffered a first-round loss in both however, he made it to his second-round appearance in the doubles in Brasilia together alongside John Stimpson.

In Sao Paulo, Silberberg was a left-handed tennis player, sporting a one- handed backhand. He began his tennis career in the town’s Paulistano Club and had his greatest year as a junior 1987, when he placed 17th in the singles world rankings. In doubles, he reached quarter-finals for boys at in 1987’s French Open with Alberto Mancini and was ranked 10 in the world.
He took home an Challenger award in Whistler in 1991. He also the following year he took on Guillermo Vilas at a Sao Paulo Challenger tournament. Other Challenger titles were won in the doubles event at Cali in 1992, and also the singles in 1994 at the Belo Horizonte Challenger.
In 1995 he played in a Davis Cup tie for Brazil, against Mexico on hard courts at the German Club in Mexico City. His win over Óscar Ortiz in the reverse singles was the only match Brazil won in the tie.
