Tono recovered to full fitness in 2010-11 and played in 37 of the 38 league matches. In mid-June 2011 Coltorti returned to the country he was born in and signed a one-year contract for the club FC Lausanne-Sport. While playing in a league match with BSC Young Boys in early April of the next year, the player injured his little finger during the game’s final moments butinstead of going off the field as his team was already using the three replacements on their roster, he moved his finger to the correct position and played until the conclusion of the 3-1 win away.

Coltorti’s maiden and only appearance in the Bundesliga took place on 1 April 2017, as the 36-year-old was in goal during the 4–0 home win against Darmstadt. He announced his retirement in August 2018, with a testimonial match due to be held in his honour the following year.

From mid-December 2009 through February 10, Coltorti enjoyed his longest league streak in Racing’s goal. He was able to benefit from the injury of Tono’s starter. In the first eight games, Racing lost only once at Villarreal CF (2-0), just scoring seven times. The player would end the season with 23 appearances in the league, since his team barely escaped being relegated after finishing in the 16th place.
