Between 2004 and 2005 Ankri began exploring her spirituality, slowly returning to her Jewish roots. The year 2005 saw Ankri performed on tour to launch her Double Disc, a 15-year best-of retrospective collection released through label NMC label. From 2005 until 2007, she performed alongside Neshama Carlebach who described Ankri as “one of the most talented and inspiring Israeli stars” she added “It’s a great honor to be working with her – she’s just incredible.” In 2007, she was featured in a ballad that was part of the album Putumayo Presents Israel, a collection released by the Manhattan-based Putumayo that specializes in compilations from “world music”.

Her debut album, I Can See It Through Your Eyes (1990), was certified two- platinum in Israel and sold more than 90,000. copies. It was followed by six albums. She appears on Her Song: Exotic Voices of Women from Around the World (1996) and Matti Caspi’s Duets (2000). She has also collaborated together with David D’Or for a successful duo.
