In 1997 she was a member of L.League club Yomiuri Seiyu Beleza (later Nippon TV Beleza) from the youth team. She was selected as the Best Eleven in 2003 and 2004. In September 2008’s WPS International Draft, she was selected to FC Gold Pride in the highest league in the US women’s professional soccer league.
In her debut appearance with FC Gold Pride, Arakawa scored FC Gold Pride’s first strike in a game against Boston Breakers leading to a win 2-1. The goal would later turn out to be her sole goal for the entire season. After the conclusion in 2009’s WPS season her return at Nippon TV Beleza.
The year 2010 was the time she made the move into Urawa Reds. In 2013, she was a player with Chifure AS Elfen Saitama (2013-2014 and 2016,), Nippon TV Beleza (2015) and Nippon Sport Science University Fields Yokohama (2017). She currently plays with Chifure AS Elfen Saitama from 2018.
