Eric Naposki is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on December 20, 1966 in New York, United States. Eric Andrew Naposki (born December 20th 1996) is a man who was convicted of murder who is currently in prison for life without parole. He was a former professional footballer which played with the National Football League and World League of American Football from 1988 until 1997. He was a part of two seasons for the New England Patriots, one season with the Indianapolis Colts, and four seasons with the Barcelona Dragons, winning World Bowl V in his final season. When he was with Barcelona Dragons, Naposki recorded 16.5 sacks over 3.5 seasons, scoring one touchdown, an interception as well as numerous blocked punts and field goals. Naposki was also an in-camp reserve player for both the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets.
Naposki has always been adamant about his innocence and is currently contesting his conviction. Naposki was found guilty on circumstantial evidence because no weapon was ever discovered. There was no DNA, there were no fingerprints, no eyewitnesses , and there was no tape of surveillance. The defense claims that the 16-year delay in indictment led to the destruction of evidence to support his claim (which was deemed to be valid in the eyes of an DA at the time of 1995 but before it was found out that the place in which he was bouncer was just 100 yards away from the scene of the crime).
On May 21, 2009, Naposki was arrested in Connecticut and charged with a murder committed in December 1994 in Newport Beach, California. He was charged with killing Bill McLaughlin so that McLaughlin’s girlfriend, Nanette Johnston, could collect his life insurance. Naposki was romantically linked to Johnston at the time. On July 14, 2011, Naposki was convicted of the murder. He was scheduled to be sentenced on October 21, 2011; however, on that date sentencing was delayed until 2012. On January 23, 2012, a jury also convicted Nanette Johnston for the murder. On August 10, 2012, Naposki was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

Naposki was born in Tuckahoe, New York, played Pop Warner Football with the “Blue Devils” out of Eastchester, New York, for eight seasons. Later, he went to Tuckahoe H.S. and Roosevelt H.S., the latter located in Yonkers, New York, before transferring in senior year at Eastchester High School. At Eastchester He was the top player on the team in sacks as well as tackles for two years which included a 17-3 record in his linebacker. Naposki also played tight end, safety or running back when in goal line scenarios. He was awarded All County in 1982, and All State in 1983 and graduated from Eastchester in 1984.

Then he went back to UConn to finish his education in 1987, however, Naposki left for a second time over two years in order to join the NFL and earned his master’s degree in physical education in 1991.
Witnesses testified that Johnston, also known in court documents as Nanette Packard McNeal (her married names), was a young woman with two small children who seduced McLaughlin, who was a quarter century her senior, after the wealthy health care entrepreneur had gone through a contentious divorce with his first wife of 24 years. Johnston began living with McLaughlin in his luxury home in a tight-knit gated community in Newport Beach, and managing his personal financial affairs. The case went unsolved for 15 years before Naposki was charged in 2009. Johnston met McLaughlin after placing a magazine ad seeking the companionship of a wealthy man.
