Eoin Harrap Cameron (4 January 1951 23 June , 2016) was an Australian radio personality from Perth, Western Australia and member of the Australian House of Representatives. From August to June 2015, he hosted his ABC’s Perth local station 720 ABC Perth breakfast show and was regularly rated the highest for the most viewed breakfast radio program. In August 2015 , he was on long leave to recover from surgery resulting from an accident that occurred in 2013. In January of 2016, he announced his retirement and would then return back to Studio “temporarily … to say a proper goodbye to listeners”. The day he left the ABC was on the 11th of March.
On June 24, 2016 it was revealed that Cameron passed away overnight, due to an unidentified heart attack during a visit to family at Albany, Western Australia.
In 2013, he was injured in a crash with a car and sustained serious back injuries, which required numerous surgeries during the following two years. The ongoing issues resulting of the injuries forced him to take retirement in the year 2016.

Cameron began his first work in radio when he was 18 at Albany station 6VA in the year 1969. The following years he was employed at numerous Perth radio stations, including 1080 6IX 94.5 as well as 6PR in addition to Melbourne station 3DB. The final 14 years of his career until retirement, were spent as a breakfast host for 720 ABC Perth, where his ratings consistently beat the competition for the time slot. His co-worker Geoff Hutchison as having a “delicious need to delight and offend in equal measure” and was known for frequently disregarding the concept of political correctness.
The year 1993 was the first time Cameron ran for the office of Stirling at the time of the Federal election.
