Culio made his La Serena debut on 26 January 2007, where he started the whole game, in a 1–0 loss against Unión Española. He quickly became a first team regular for the side, making a number of good performances. It wasn’t until on 10 March 2007 when he scored his first goal, in a 1–1 draw against Everton. His second goal then came on 29 April 2007, in a 2–1 win over Santiago Wanderers. At the end of the 2006–07 season, Culio went on to make nineteen appearances and scoring three times for the side.
In January 2007, it was announced that Culio joined La Serena in the Liga Chilena de Fútbol.
On the 25th of July, the year 2006 Culio began his journey to Racing Club prior to his 2006-2007 season. He spent the beginning of the season as a substitute bench. It was not until November 2006 that Culio became a player for the Racing Club debut, in the 3-2 defeat to Banfield. The time he spent in Racing Club was overshadowed when Culio was involved in an altercation with Cristian Pino, but the issue was resolved. However the fact that he did play three times in the team of Racing Club.
