Donna Meistrich is one of the most popular and richest American animator who was born on February 28, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, United States. Donna Meistrich (born February 28 1954) is an American wax carver artist, model maker jewelry designer, sculptor and animator. She co- created Tacky People. Tacky People animated series with her co-creator and animator Terry Blumberg.

Meistrich continues working in a variety of mediums like clay, wax wood, stone, plaster and cast paper. She has created Master models of snow towns and porcelain dolls, porcelain objects toys, and presents. Donna participates every year in the Italian Street Painting Festival creating drawings in chalk since 1994.

In 1987, Meistrich began developing the idea that would become Tacky People through her jewelry and also through her figurine designs. The year was 1978 when she was introduced to Terry Blumberg at a drawing class at City College of San Francisco. They became friends and began working together in the “Tacky People” cartoon in 1988.

Meistrich was born in Brooklyn, New York to Syd and Pearl Meistrich and was the third oldest child of the three. Growing on Long Island with her two younger brothers, she graduated from Northport High School in 1972. She was also a student at an Academy of Art University from 1974 until the year 1978, at San Francisco, where she studied illustration and graphic design.
