In 2007, he was requested from his counterpart, the Scottish Consul General in Ukraine to compose an article to commemorate the 75th anniversary celebration of the Holodomor. The result of the collaboration with choreographer Steinvor Palsson, was a dance-based film, Portrait of Evil. He composed pieces for several short films. In 2010, with Brian May’s consent, composed the entire Bohemian Rhapsody music on piano for the accompanying protest video, Donald Trump does Bohemian Rhapsody.
In 2015, Morykit created and performed a new concert/score to accompany the classic silent film Nosferatu (1922) by F. W. Murnau. , which was premiered for Halloween at the 14th C Leicester Guildhall before being toured.
Morykit was requested from Angus Calder and Amnesty International (Scotland) in 1996 to create the performance of 12 songs and poems for the Commonwealth State Heads of States visit to Edinburgh in The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh.

Morykit was born in Northampton to his Ukrainian father and an Italian mother, both of whom were exiled from their countries following World War II. He began playing piano at the age of five, under the guidance from Christina Griffin and later, Graham Mayo. He was awarded the prize for the best new composition in the National Student Drama Festival in 1977, when Sebastion Graham Jones had first suggested the prize.
After having a look around Richard Demarco in Edinburgh, Morykit moved to Edinburgh in 1988. He composed compositions for many collaborations with theatre and dance companies. Morykit was a part of Demarco along with other artists on an artistic excursion into the communist Poland from 1989.
In 2014, Morykit created and performed a two-hour score to accompany the classic science fiction silent Metropolis. The score combines newly composed pieces with a number of Morykit’s existing compositions. The performance and the composition received favourable reviews. The piece was first performed in Perthshire, and later Morykit toured the UK, including a concert in London
