Diva Muffin Zappa (born July 30 1979) is an American artist, who is known for her acting work in television and film and recording a comedy single that was a one-off. She is the youngest daughter from Gail Zappa and musician Frank Zappa.

A long-length dress she knit for the 2009 Grammy Awards by Chloe Trujillo her wife Metallica guitarist Robert Trujillo. She also knitted an outfit for Diablo Cody.

Following the death of Zappa’s mother, Gail, in October 2015, it was revealed that Diva and her brother Ahmet were given control of the Zappa Family Trust with shares of 30% each, while her siblings Moon and Dweezil were given smaller shares of 20% each. As beneficiaries only, Moon and Dweezil will not see any money from the trust until it is profitable—in 2016, it was “millions of dollars in debt”—and must seek permission from Ahmet, the trustee, to make money off of their father’s music or merchandise bearing his name. The uneven divide of the trust has resulted in several conflicts between Zappa’s children, including a feud between Dweezil and Ahmet over Dweezil’s use of his father’s music in live performances. In a 2016 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Diva Zappa said her primary role in the trust is to be present when her father’s work is highlighted.

From 2002 on, Diva Zappa runs her own business/website named “Hand Made Beauty” where she sells her own, self-designed and hand-made clothes. The clothing is mostly knit or crocheted and comprises of ponchos, hats, and skirts. A portion of proceeds are given towards the Creative Visions Foundation. She was taught crochet by the actress, Laurie Metcalf. She doesn’t have a plan for the work she does, choosing to create in a spontaneous way. The year 2011 was the time Zappa was the first artist to exhibit in a UK exhibition consisting of “contemporary knitwear art and couture canvases” in an exhibition called “Bruce” at the Maison Bertaux Gallery in Soho. The exhibit featured an embroidered photo of her son Dweezil who was playing the guitar.
