In 2004, Ms. Turban performed her first One Woman Play Constantly Risking Absurdity that she premiered in Castleton as well as at Cherry Lane Theatre, New York. The play was performed a year later at George Mason University and was also invited to perform the play to Salzburg, Austria, by the American Austrian Foundation, for the official opening of Schloss Arenberg in 2005. In summer 2013, she was the star of the play by Jean Cocteau, La Voix Humaine at the Castleton Festival.

Ms. Turban Maazel lives in New York City where she works as a stage director and private acting coach. She recently remarried on July 1, 2018 to Antony Wood. She created the course “Acting for Singers” for Rutgers University where she is on faculty. She regularly holds masterclasses and is a guest faculty member of the International Vocal Arts Institute and Highland Opera Studios in the U.S. and Canada.

In 1996, she started an exclusive school for families with low incomes in the estate of her Virginia Estate and developed a pilot project to discover new ways of integrating essential aesthetic and artistic values into the school curriculum that were influenced in part by Rudolf Steiner.
