Diego Romano is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on March 11, 1980 in Rosario, Argentina. Diego Sebastian Romano (born 11 March 1980 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer who plays in the midfield for Greek team Aris Voulas.

On June 25, 2016 Romano was signed by Football League club Apollon Smyrni on a one-year agreement until the end of summer 2017. Romano once more helped Apollon Smyrni earn promotion to the Superleague and the time this time with the title of division champions. He was a part of 23 matches for Apollon and scored a goal during his team’s the 2016-2017 Football League championship run.

After being released from Ergotelis on the 21st of July 2014, Romano signed a two-year contract with Greek Football League club Iraklis. He made his debut with Iraklis in the Greek Cup match against Lamia. Romano was with the country’s other player Emanuel Perrone, and the duo played a significant role in Iraklis returning back to in the Greek Superleague throughout its 2014-15 Football League season. Following their time with Iraklis in this year’s 2015-16 Superleague season, the two players had their contracts terminated by mutual consent with the club in May of 2016.

Romano started his professional career in Argentina with only one game for Newell’s Old Boys in the Argentine Primera Division during the Apertura 2000 tournament.

On June 25, in 2008 Romano agreed to sign a 2-year deal with Greek Superleague club Ergotelis. He stayed for six years for the club, appearing in 154 official matches , and scored 18 goals. In the 2011-12 season, Romano was suffering an ACL rupture and was not able to help his team stay out of the Football League after six straight seasons in the top division. Romano was among the few veterans of the club who followed Ergotelis as a player in the Football League, captaining the club, and leading them to a quick return to the top flight. In his final season at Ergotelis, Romano was the captain of his team, leading them to their best ever 7th-place finishing during 2013.14 of the Greek Superleague. But, when the board of directors voted to reduce the budget for the team and give the players with new contracts and lower salary, Romano decided to part his ways with Ergotelis on the 17th of July 2014.

In July 2017, Romano signed with Gamma Ethniki side Ethnikos Piraeus.
