Dieter “Didi” Senft (born on February 7, 1952) is a German cyclist, who is known as Didi The Devil (also known as the El Diablo during the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. Since 1993, he’s been seen at many of Tour and Giro’s numerous stages in his red devil outfit and painting trident symbols onto the road for a couple of miles prior to when appearing. Senft explained that the idea for his costume was derived from viewing the Tour de France on West German TV , and then seeing a reporter speak of the triangular red flag which marks the final km to be “the devil’s red flag.”
He was present in the 2011 and 2012 Giro d’Italia and the 2011 Cologne Marathon in a pink costume of a devil.
He was once again in the spotlight during Euro 2008 when he rode through Klagenfurt in his custom-designed “Football Bike” prior to the Germany Match against Croatia match.

in 1996 Senft traveled across the country to Atlanta, Georgia, USA to cheer on athletes during their race of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games cycling road race that took place on roads in suburban Buckhead.
