Corcoran’s initial love for country music was singing yodelling. After graduating from the high school level, Corcoran moved to Adelaide where she worked three positions (recruitment as well as a dog food factory and a car parts factory) to earn enough money to record her debut album (Little Bit Crazy). She was a professional performer in the year 2004. That year she toured along with Adam Brand as an opening artist. It was also that year that she was awarded her very first Golden Guitar Award for New Artist of the Year.
Corcoran has been on the road at three times in order to entertain Australian troops serving in war zones all over the globe and has also performed in Afghanistan together with Jenny Morris. In one tour of the Solomon Islands in March 2007 she was able to meet Tom Hinds, an Australian soldier. Corcoran wrote the track “Come Back Home” on the album Keep Breathing to honor Tom Hinds. Corcoran has also written songs about childhood memories and family experiences, including the songs of her dad (“If You Hear Angels”) and her mom (“You’ll Never Stop Loving Me”) along with her town of birth Parkes (“Rocky Hill”).
