She later launched her own company, Felix Computers, building computers at home , while living she was in San Francisco.
In 1975 in 1975, it was in the year 1975 that the Gay Latina/Latino Alliance (GALA) was established. The group was formed to combat the prejudices that exist within the LGBT community, call for political reform, and offer gay Latinos. They participated in and coordinated various events, such as a march in support of Anastasio Somoza Garcia as well as the 73rd and the 76th Nicaraguan president, and diverse dance events.
In 1983, Felix co-founded the Community United in Response to AIDS/SIDA (CURAS). It was the first grassroots Latino community response to the AIDS outbreak in San Francisco. She began as a volunteer, but later became office manager for the group. She later moved into a new position, working as an outreach member for the project. Later, she transitioned into the role of the coordinator of outreach. She was a health educator for the organization before it lost its funding and finally dissolved in 1992.
In 1993, Felix co-founded Proyecto ContraSIDA Por Vida (PCPV), a community- based organization dedicated to providing sex-positive health education to queer communities. While there, she held various positions, such as Program Director, Coordinator of Women’s Programs, and Coordinator of LYBRES.
The year was 1971 and she composed her two pieces she wrote to be part of a theatre series that was staged at San Joaquin Delta College. The first, called La Macha, is about an high school Chicana struggling with the misogyny she experiences at home with her family. After she decides that she is exhausted by the whole situation and has a vision about a future where the roles of women and men are reversed. She imagines herself returning home from work wearing the form of a suit, and being greeted by her homemaking husband. The second play is an intimate romance between two lovers who are star-crossed. The main character is son of a farmer and the other is an Chicana who is protesting against the conditions of labor that are in place at the farm along with members of United Farm Workers. They aren’t able to openly discuss their personal interests due to their different roles. Therefore, they hide and talk publicly through exchanges of glances and possessions.

Diane Francis Christine Felix (born on March 15th 1953) Also known by the name Chili D is an American disc jockey as well as an LGBT activist. She is a third generation Chicana from Stockton, California.
Diane started DJing in the late 1970s, while attending San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. She was able to get an appointment with Chicano Station, KUOP as DJ. She was a part of the Latin Stage of the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Parade for seven years. She also performed on the stages of Circus as well as The Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Diane Felix began to DJ at A Little More on Potrero Hill, a predominantly Filipina club, in 1976. This club had its own softball team called Un Poquito Mas, composed of Women of Color. In an attempt to create spaces for queer women of color, she hosted the first club night for queer Latina women in the Mission District in 1986 and called it, “Colors.” It closed in 2000. Since arriving in San Francisco, she has been a pivotal person in producing, hosting, and promoting queer Latino-themed club nights in the Bay Area including: Cream (at Space 550) and Kandy in the Castro, Octopussy in San Jose; the dance parties, “Delicious” at The Cafe in San Francisco, and Pan Dulce, an all-gender queer Latino dance party.
