Diana Widmaier Picasso is the daughter of Maya’s Widmaier-Picasso. granddaughter of Pablo Picasso and Marie-Therese Walter. After receiving a Master diploma in private Law (Paris-Assas University) and an Master diploma in Art History (Paris-Sorbonne University)–her thesis focused on the market for art in France during the 17th century, she chose to focus on drawing from the old masters. She was involved in several exhibitions at the museums (Metropolitan Museum, New York, Institut Neerlandais in Paris) in the following years, and then became an expert in the field of old master sketches for Sotheby’s located in London in London and Paris over a period of three years.
