He was a part of the 2010 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship and the 2012 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship and the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship as well as the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship in the junior national team of Greece.
Slaftsakis started his professional career at his Greek League club KAOD, in the season of 2012-13. He was released from KAOD in the summer of 2015, after the club was dropped from first-tier Greek Basket League, due to financial difficulties in 2015. Then, he became a member of Koroivos Amaliadas.
