Dhruv Pandove is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on January 9, 1974 in Patiala, Punjab, India. Pandove was born the 9th of January, 1974. He was born in Patiala. The father of the child, M. P. Pandove was a first-class cricketer and played in 75 matches of the first class playing with Southern Punjab, Punjab, and North Zone, and later became an administrator for cricket.

In October 1988, when he was playing only his third game of the first class, Pandove hit 137 against Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar. By scoring this century Pandove was one of the youngest Indian and also one of the most youthful players to achieve a first-class century at just 14,294 and a day.

At the conclusion of the Deodhar Trophy quarterfinal, Pandove was travelling from Sambalpur to his hometown Patiala. After getting off the train at Ambala Cantt, he took a cab to Patiala on the night of 31 January 1992. He died near Ambala as the cab met with an accident on the Grand Trunk Road. The cab driver was also killed and Pandove’s friend Bittu was critically injured. Pandove’s death was mentioned by BBC and the Australian commentators of the Australia- India Test match that was happening at Perth. The Indian team observed a two minutes’ silence before the start of the match.

He was later selected for the India under-19 team and made up the squad which won the U19 Test series in Pakistan in 1988/89 aswell in the team who went on tour in Bangladesh and took home the U19 Asia Cup the following year. He was made captain of Punjab under-19s during between 1990 and 1991. Cooch Behar Trophy in which the team scored consecutive hundreds. The score was 64 in the day of his List A debut in December 1990.

Dhruv Mahender Pantdove (9 January 1974 31 January 1992) was an Indian first- class cricketer who played for Punjab. He made his debut in the first class at 13 years old and was thought to be an “exceptionally gifted batsman” and a “prodigy”. He was one of the youngest Indian and also one of the youngest players to reach a century of first-class cricket. His scores of 137 at Jammu and Kashmir in 1988 being scored at fourteen years old as well as 294 consecutive days. It was his first time to cross the milestone of 1000 runs in the Ranji Trophy, achieving the mark at seventeen years old and 341 days.

Dhruv Pantdove was in the spotlight after scoring numerous goals during the time of Punjab Under-15s as well as under-17s. After scoring 1559 in the match against Jammu and Kashmir under-17s and 51 against Delhi under-17s in the 1987-88 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Pandove made his debut in November 1987 , at 13 and scored 94 points in the contest with Himachal Pradesh. Pandove was captain of the North Zone under-15s in the 1987-88 Vijay Merchant Trophy and scored 206 in the semi-final in the semi-final against Central Zone under-15s, followed by 117 and 42 that didn’t get missing in the championship match against East Zone under-15s, leading his team to victory.

In December 1991, playing for Punjab in a 1991–92 Ranji Trophy match against Services, Pandove made his highest first-class score of 170. He passed the 1000-run mark in Ranji Trophy during the innings and became the youngest player to do so, at the age of 17 years and 341 days. It also turned out to be his last Ranji Trophy match.
