David Veikune is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on December 12, 1985 in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. David Fa’otusia veikune (born 12 December 1985) is an American football defensive player who is currently an independent agent. He previously was a player with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was selected to the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played in the NCAA football tournament at Hawaii.
Veikune was selected to the Cleveland Browns in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was selected one pick before the Pro Bowler, McCoy. However, the Browns already had Jamal Lewis at tailback. The pick was a gift by the New York Jets in an earlier deal that allowed the Jets to select the quarterback Mark Sanchez.
On November 17, 2010, Veikune signed with the Denver Broncos and was a top special team player for the remaining 2010 season. He was waived the following season on August 29, 2011.
Veikune was waived by the Browns on September 7, 2010.
Then he was moved into Manoa University. University of Hawaii at Manoa where he played as special teamer as well as a an assistant in the year the year 2006. The year 2007 was the time that Veikune was selected as an All-WAC First Team selection even though he did not play an entire game. He was the leader of his team in the WAC in sacks, with seven (pre-bowl). In 2008, Veikune was awarded the 2nd place All-WAC selection following his team’s third most prolific tackler, with 73. He also was one of the top WAC players in sacks with 16.5 tackles and 9 sacks. He was a defensive tackle and Defensive End in Hawaii. He also scored 11 quarterback hurries as well as forced four Fumbles.
