David Saranga Biography

David Saranga (Hebrew: dvd srngh ) (born on 12 February 1964) is the ambassador of Israel in Romania. He was advisor to the senior foreign affairs department of president of the State of Israel, Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin, and the former head of the European Parliament Liaison Department at the Israeli Embassy in Brussels. Prior to that , he worked as Consul of Media and Public Affairs of Israel in the United States. Saranga was the person responsible for Israel’s image within the United States and was the representative of Israel in America’s American media. Saranga was credited with influencing the American media. Jewish Chronicle described him as “The man whose campaigns are rebranding Israel.” Saranga’s decision for inviting Maxim publication to Israel caused debate over the concept as the term “public diplomacy. Professor. John H. Brown of Georgetown University described this initiative as the first step in the new field in Public Diplomacy. Saranga was the first diplomat to implement Web 2.0 governmental initiatives, including the first official blog for an entire country as well as the MySpace page, YouTube channel, MySpace page as well as a YouTube channel, Facebook page, and the first political blog.
