David Horovitz (Hebrew: dvd hvorvovyTS , born 12 August 1962) is a British-Israeli- born journalist, author, and speaker. He is the editor-in-chief of The Times of Israel, the current affairs-focused website located in Jerusalem which was launched at the beginning of February in 2012. Prior to that, he was chief editor at The Jerusalem Post and The Jerusalem Report.

David Horovitz worked for the Post from 1983 until 1990. Horovitz then joined The Jerusalem Report, where Horovitz was editor from 1998, and the editor from 2001. In October of 2004, Horovitz rejoined the Post as editor-in-chief. David announced his resignation from The Jerusalem Post in a note in his final editor’s notes column on 1 July 2011. The final time he wrote for The Jerusalem Post, Horovitz interviewed Jimmy Wales. Then, in February of 2012 alongside Seth Klarman of the Baupost Group, Horovitz launched The Times of Israel which is which is an English-language Israeli news site that is based from Jerusalem.

Horovitz had counted himself among Israel’s political left but grew disillusioned with the peace process after the second Palestinian intifada. He described himself in 2015 as a member of the “confused middle ground of Israeli politics.” His books A Little Too Close to God (2000) and Still Life with Bombers (2004) show strong admiration of the late Yitzhak Rabin (and strong criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu).
